Pays Lane is an old road or track off the A252 near Little Paddock Farm. The track went down the hill towards Westwell and was almost certainly used for the many lime pits which are known to have benn in this are. Although it is now closed it's line can still be seen in the garden of a private house. It is also of interest to the history of Challock in view of the buildings known as Barrack Cottages which stood at the top end of the lane. The private house which now stands on the site is also of interest.
