Kent Village of the year 2004
2004. The village won the prestigious Kent Village of the Year award.
In this decade the Village of Challock is thriving with an excellent community spirit. The annual Goose Fair continues to attract a large number of visitors and provides not only great entertainment but also extra revenue to improve all aspects of village life. Our Primary School received an outstanding Ofsted report and Amanda Cottrell has been installed as the High Sheriff of Kent. There are also numerous organisations and societies, each of whom provide an essential service to different sections of the community.
In this decade there was much talk of Global Warming. In these photographs of the
Lees we can see that
we can still get cold and snow. Photographs taken 2005..
